Poland’s transformation from wartime devastation and subsequent communist rule to political stability and economic prosperity has been truly remarkable. It is the largest of the recent intake of EU member states and consumer spending there is bucking the trend of much of the rest of Europe. Coupled with planned spending on much needed infrastructure, environmental and technology projects, this adds up to real opportunities for foreign suppliers, provided that they approach this compelling market in the right way.
